It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kath Binns, one of the long standing members of Loscoe Women's Institute. Kath passed away at home on 22nd March. She was an active member of Loscoe WI, always joining in with outings and events. Kath had a lovely time surrounded by friends at our meal at the Fench Horn in February. She was often to be seen with her long time friend Betty Wardle and will be sadly missed by us all.
Kath's funeral will took place at 12.15pm on Monday 16th April at the Baptist Chapel in Loscoe.There were 14 members of Loscoe WI who went to the sevice.
Loscoe WI has over 35 members with an ongoing recruitment drive.
Apart from the monthly meetings we have a variety of outings and events.
We have been to see The King and I, performed by The Central Operatic Society.
Members had a lovely afternoon at Howitt School, listening to the choir and enjoying tea and cakes at the Easter Tea Party.
We have dined at The Fench Horn in Codnor, and look forward to many more events this year.

We also get together every February or March for our Christmas meal.
This year we went to The French Horn in Codnor and enjoyed a lovely carvery lunch.
We have a very varied programme and always have interesting speakers.
