The meeting commenced at 7pm with tea and biscuits and a chance to catch up with fellow members.
This will be with the new format with business and speaker following.
Janet Padgham our President welcomed everyone to our February meeting.
Janet explained to members that we had a decision to make to cancel the January meeting due to bad weather.
Everyone agreed that we had a great christmas party which now seems along way away.
There will be a resolutions briefing conference on Monday 12th April at Darley Dale.
Group meetings and dates were announced, the next being 29th March at Heanor.
Janet then informed the meeting of items from Derbyshire link.
These included a craft dabble day on 24th may at Ashbourne a beadwork day on 19th April and a 'eve of St George's Day' dinner on 22nd April.
We also learned of the refurbishment of the Derbyshire Room at Denman College
and encouraged members to take part in the Denman Dip by putting £1 in an envelope to be taken to the delegates meeting.
These envelopes will be placed in a prize draw and the winner will win a place on a course at Denman College.
Janet also encouraged any members who would like to write an article for the Derbyshire Link.
Other items were about the county show with a painting compitition amongst the mentioned.
There will also be a swim at Chatsworth being the length of the English Channel (not on your own of course!)

There will be a suggestion box for members to give their new ideas for future speakers and and trips.
We are looking forward to our lunch in April at the Hawthorns, our Easter raffle where the proceeds will go to our charity for this year - the Air Ambulance.
We are also holding a summer fair in August for the same charity.
Margaret then announced that once again we have new members joining.
The speaker this month was Brenda Langham who
brought with her a small part of her 13,000 bookmark collection.
Brenda who was a librarian at Waverley College began her collection in a small way
and has seen it grow tointernational proportions.
Brenda gave us a humerous account of collecting from family and friends.
To the libraries, home and abroad where many people have contributed to her priceless collection.
The vote of thanks was given by Vivien Gregg.
The door raffle was won by Janet Gadsby and the favourite bookmark was won by Eileen Harris.
