These are pictures from our trip to Morley Church, near Heanor, Derbyshire.
All the photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.
We had an oppurtunity to climb the rather steep, narrow
winding stairs to the top of the bell tower. Not for the faint hearted.
Kath was determined not to miss the chance,
so with guidence and help from other members, made her way to the top. So pleased to have got to the top. safely Kath admires the view.

It was definately worth the climb, but then the thought struck. How to get back down.
If you have ever been up a narrow, winding flight of stairs you will know,
going up is easier than going down.
Kath came down backwards with Janet Padgham below her all the way
guiding each foot onto the next step. The Church Bell

Eventually all made it back to the bottom and agreed
the view from the top made the climb well worth it. Every back down safely
